Atlas powers Chilean data centres with renewable energy

Atlas Renewable Energy has signed an agreement with ODATA to supply its Chilean data centres with 100% renewable energy.

Atlas Renewable Energy, known for its role in renewable energy provision, has entered into a partnership with ODATA to power data centres in Chile exclusively using renewable energy sources, including solar power. This agreement is notable for its emphasis on utilising 100% I-REC certifiable renewable energy, allowing ODATA the capabilities to expand sustainably in the region.

The partnership is expected to drive the adoption of renewable energy within the Chilean data centre industry, aligning with ODATA's objectives to bolster its sustainable practices in the country.

According to the 2024 Latin American Artificial Intelligence Index, Chile is recognised as a leader in AI adoption, further driving the need for enhanced data centre capacity and sustainable power solutions.

Atlas Renewable Energy is well-equipped to meet this demand with its substantial portfolio of renewable energy projects across Latin America. Atlas operates projects totalling 8.4 GW of renewable capacity, with a significant portion dedicated to solar energy.
