Hyland, AWS collaborate to boost cloud AI for content management
Hyland has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deepen cloud-native integrations and co-develop artificial intelligence innovations focused on unstructured data management for enterprises.
The agreement builds on Hyland's existing technology collaboration with AWS and aims to expand the global adoption of its Content Innovation Cloud. The arrangement is expected to accelerate market adoption, enable closer integration with AWS's cloud-native services, and drive the delivery of intelligent data management solutions for organisations across industries and geographies.
Collaboration details
Hyland stated that the new agreement marks an important milestone in the evolution of its Content Innovation Cloud, a platform designed for organisations seeking to modernise their management, analysis, and automation of structured and unstructured content at scale.
Steve Baird, Chief Revenue Officer at Hyland, said: "This strategic agreement strengthens our collaboration with AWS and validates the value of the Content Innovation Cloud. It accelerates our ability to quickly expand access to advanced data management and automation solutions for organisations worldwide, while continuing to innovate our existing products for our customers around the globe."
Allison Johnson, Senior Manager of AMER Tech Partners at AWS, commented: "Hyland's cloud-first strategy on AWS represents a significant leap forward for industries that rely on trust, data accuracy, and compliance. Hyland's Content Innovation Cloud is integrating with the AI technology stack on AWS to enable agentic document processing, deploying intelligent agents to interpret, assess, and act on unstructured content. Together, we're equipping organisations with intelligent tools to modernise operations and make faster, smarter decisions powered by content intelligence."
Jimie Almeida, Chief Information Officer of Liberty Health, also remarked on the partnership: "The strategic collaboration between Hyland and AWS will transform our ability to leverage intelligent data management at scale. The deeper integration with cloud-native services unlocks tremendous business, giving us the confidence to modernise our entire content management approach while maintaining the security and governance standards our industry demands."
Content Innovation Cloud growth
The company has reported a 280% increase in adoption of the Content Innovation Cloud within the last six months. This surge is attributed to strong customer demand and the platform's role in helping enterprises manage and automate content at scale, especially in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, government, and insurance.
According to Hyland, the Content Innovation Cloud leverages AI and automation tools to convert unstructured data into actionable information. The platform is designed for regulated industries and features agentic document processing, integration with advanced AI systems, semantic and context-aware AI, and the ability to automate complex workflows.
"We set out to redefine intelligent content management, and we've done just that. Through agentic automation, AI-ready data, and frictionless integrations, our innovations are reshaping not just enterprises but the entire industry. This is a milestone worth celebrating, and just the beginning of our mission to transform content into intelligence, workflows into agents, and data into competitive advantage," said Jitesh S. Ghai, CEO of Hyland.
Platform capabilities
Hyland emphasised that the Content Innovation Cloud integrates with leading customer relationship management, healthcare, and insurance platforms to provide organisations with content intelligence and automation within the systems they already use. The platform incorporates Knowledge Enrichment and agentic automation for smarter decision-making, an Agent Builder and Content Federation Service for unified access, and a Cloud Update Service that automates updates to reduce operational complexity.
The company added that the collaboration with AWS enhances workflow efficiency by embedding decision-making capabilities into processes and aims to scale autonomous decision-making across enterprises. The solution is intended to reduce manual, repetitive tasks, allowing teams to focus on higher-impact work.
Expanded global reach
Hyland also reported ongoing expansion into Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and other emerging regions. The company indicated that this will provide its customers with a mix of local knowledge and global capabilities.
The collaboration with AWS is expected to further strengthen Hyland's offering for customers seeking flexible, scalable content management and AI-powered automation.
