NetSuite unveils new SuiteCloud AI tools to boost flexibility

Wed, 8th Oct 2025

Oracle NetSuite has introduced new AI-driven extensibility tools within its SuiteCloud Platform designed to help customers, partners, and developers build, connect, and manage AI capabilities inside NetSuite.

The update brings several features aimed at enhancing how organisations can deploy artificial intelligence for business-specific tasks. New offerings include AI Connector Service, SuiteAgent frameworks, AI Toolkits, AI Assistants, and AI Studios. The tools are intended to provide flexibility for integrating a range of AI models, creating custom AI agents, and developing intelligent workflows tailored to the operational requirements of individual businesses.

Platform enhancements

The latest changes to SuiteCloud are built on NetSuite's unified data model and open standards and are designed to allow users to securely connect third-party AI models, build autonomous agents, automate intricate tasks, and manage AI behaviours-all governed by the customer's data and permission controls.

The SuiteCloud enhancements present options for integrating external AI assistants and agent platforms, building AI agents directly within NetSuite, and constructing custom workflows powered by artificial intelligence.

"It has always been important to me that NetSuite is flexible and adaptable so that our customers can support their unique and ever-changing business needs," said Evan Goldberg, Founder and Executive Vice President at Oracle NetSuite.

"Today, we are taking that flexibility and adaptability to a new level. The new capabilities in SuiteCloud will help our customers and partners transform how AI works for business by giving them the ability to quickly and easily build AI agents, connect external AI assistants, and orchestrate AI processes."

The platform's new open and composable features aim to embed artificial intelligence across various business customisations and extensions. The update extends capabilities for integrating leading AI models, creating and embedding AI services, and personalising AI-driven experiences throughout the system. Future releases intend to grant further contextual understanding of customisations and extensions through features such as NetSuite Next's Ask Oracle, which will be able to reflect business-specific nuances in its insights.

Detailed features

The key components introduced include:

  • AI Connector Service: This service enables organisations to choose suitable AI models, establish data access parameters, and manage model interactions within NetSuite. Built on open standards such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP), it offers secure integration with external AI assistants. NetSuite also plans to introduce Custom MCP prompts to help administrators guide external assistants in responses aligned with company policy and language.
  • SuiteAgent frameworks: These will allow customers and developers to build and deploy SuiteAgents (AI agents) directly on the SuiteCloud Platform using the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF). SuiteAgents can use NetSuite AI toolkits to help automate outcomes and are supported by agentic workflow experiences for user monitoring and intervention.
  • AI Toolkits: Developers can use these to integrate NetSuite's AI services-such as document analysis and narrative reporting-into custom applications without needing separate AI infrastructure. Document AI APIs are available initially, with additional APIs for narrative insights and knowledge planned in future updates.
  • AI Assistants: New AI assistants, including SuiteCloud Developer Assistant and SuiteFlow Assistant, aim to improve productivity for developers, administrators, and power users by supporting coding, documentation, customisation, and workflow design through natural language interaction.
  • AI Studios: These tools enable business users and administrators to define, adjust, and manage how AI operates within NetSuite. Features such as Prompt Studio and Narrative Insight Studio allow users to design, test, and preview AI prompts and control how AI generates summaries and insights.

These features are also positioned to benefit SuiteCloud Developer Network partners by providing expanded options to embed business or industry-specific AI features directly into their offerings. With AI Toolkits, SuiteAgent frameworks, and AI Studios, partners can build intelligent workflows and automate specialised processes inside NetSuite, and the AI Connector Service allows them to integrate additional AI models and platforms in SuiteApps.

Availability

The new AI capabilities are available immediately, with further features planned as part of NetSuite Next over the following year. Oracle NetSuite stated that these enhancements are intended to give users greater flexibility in customising and extending their NetSuite implementations to suit evolving business needs.
