Assured & Telarus in partnership for managed cloud data backup
Assured Data Protection has entered into a strategic partnership with Telarus to offer managed cloud data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
The agreement makes Assured's Rubrik-based data backup and disaster recovery services available to Telarus customers as a managed service, providing immutable backup and enhanced protection against cyber threats. The partnership is intended to address the increasing need among medium-sized enterprises for robust data security and cyber resiliency.
Strategic approach
The move is aligned with Assured's focus on working with technology services distributors (TSDs) to scale cyber resiliency solutions to a broader customer base. Telarus, described as the largest privately owned TSD in North America, will now be able to equip its network of technology advisors, including ISPs, managed service providers and value-added resellers, with the capabilities from Assured's offering.
The partnership allows Telarus advisors to deliver enterprise-grade backup, disaster recovery, and ransomware protection services to their customers. The collaboration is also positioned as an opportunity for both firms to pursue new growth, with a focus on serving medium-sized businesses and supporting technology advisors in simplifying and scaling their offerings.

Supporting customer needs
The partnership is intended to help technology services distributors and their clients address evolving data protection challenges, particularly those related to cyber threats, limited internal IT resources, and emerging risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence.
Assured's Rubrik managed service capability is designed to support stretched IT teams, with a particular emphasis on mid-market and smaller enterprises. The offering also positions Assured to consult with technology advisors and their customers about organising, aligning and protecting data, including against threats associated with new AI-driven technologies. The press release noted that these issues are becoming increasingly significant with the rise of agentic AI, and that Assured will take a leading role in these conversations as part of its partnership with Telarus.
