Creative ITC opens Houston base to drive US growth
Creative ITC has opened its US headquarters in Houston, expanding its North American footprint as it targets further growth in architecture, engineering and energy.
The UK-founded cloud infrastructure provider said the new base will strengthen its ability to deliver and manage private cloud and digital workspace services for organisations across the region. It has supported North American customers for more than a decade through its existing multi-region platform.
Houston is a major hub for the energy sector and hosts a wide range of engineering and project delivery operations. The move places Creative ITC's US leadership and business development functions in a market that aligns closely with its focus on design- and engineering-intensive industries.
Creative ITC described the headquarters opening as part of a wider global expansion strategy. Recent additions include two UK offices in Basingstoke and Milton Keynes, plus new data centres in Jaipur and Melbourne.
Global footprint
Creative ITC operates a multi-region infrastructure platform across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, supporting thousands of users worldwide in architecture, engineering and construction organisations, as well as energy businesses.
Its services centre on private cloud infrastructure and digital workspace environments, using GPU acceleration for design, engineering and operational workloads. The company positions this model as a way for customers to access complex systems without maintaining their own IT environments.
The new US headquarters formalises Creative ITC's North American presence and provides a base to expand delivery capacity and improve responsiveness as demand grows. It is also exploring US partnerships and said early discussions have been encouraging.
Chief executive Keith Ali said the move responds to rising demand and reflects a long-term commitment to international customers.
"This expansion reflects both the demand we're seeing in the U.S. and our long-term commitment to supporting clients internationally," Ali said. "Our customers operate some of the world's most demanding design and engineering environments. They require infrastructure that delivers consistent performance, resilience and security at scale. By establishing our U.S. headquarters, we can better replicate our UK and EMEA success - supporting firms in mission critical environments locally, while upholding the global operational standards our clients expect."
US leadership
As part of the expansion, Creative ITC has appointed Matt Fox as vice president of business development for the US market. Based in Houston, he has managed service provider experience.
Fox will lead the firm's US growth strategy and client engagement, initially focusing on architecture, engineering and energy-markets that have long been central to Creative ITC's customer base in the UK and EMEA.
Creative ITC said the US opportunity is being driven by infrastructure modernisation programmes and the operational demands facing large organisations, including change related to deal activity and complex project schedules.
"Many U.S. organisations are modernising legacy infrastructure while managing complex operational requirements, including mergers, acquisitions and large-scale project delivery," Fox said. "Our presence in Houston allows us to work directly with US clients and UK-headquartered firms operating overseas, deploying infrastructure environments designed specifically to support their engineering and operational needs."
Customer work
Creative ITC said it supports several large architecture, engineering and energy organisations. It named WSP as a customer and said the company relies on Creative ITC to monitor its global IT infrastructure.
In the US, Creative ITC said it has supported infrastructure transitions for Vertex Energy and CB&I, focusing on continuity during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
The Houston expansion will initially concentrate on architecture, engineering and energy organisations. Creative ITC said it also supports construction firms globally and expects its US presence to extend into the broader construction sector over time.
Creative ITC is backed by Lloyds Development Capital and said it will use its expanded US presence to build regional capacity while operating on the same global delivery platform used across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
