DXC launches OASIS for AI-era managed services oversight

Tue, 28th Apr 2026 (Yesterday)

DXC has launched DXC OASIS, a managed services operating model for IT environments designed for the AI era.

OASIS is intended to sit across existing enterprise technology systems rather than replace them, giving organisations a single view of operations across multivendor environments. It brings together data on performance, cost, risk and operational health.

The launch addresses a common problem for large organisations with technology estates built up over many years. These often include siloed data, disconnected tools and fragmented workflows, making it harder for IT teams and executives to identify issues quickly and respond before they affect operations.

The new model combines human expertise with AI agents that continuously interpret signals, identify patterns and take action in real time. The aim is to shift managed services away from reactive support and towards continuous operational oversight.

Single view

According to DXC, OASIS acts as an orchestration layer across an organisation's existing tools and systems. Enterprises do not need to remove current platforms to use it. Instead, the system is intended to improve coordination between technologies already in place.

The platform is built to give teams a real-time view of activity across the IT estate. It is also designed to help identify risks earlier, recommend actions before disruption occurs and make operational decisions more traceable across the organisation.

DXC presented the launch as a change in how managed services are structured and delivered. Rather than relying on separate systems and manual intervention, the model is intended to bring engineers, operators and business leaders together around one shared operational picture.

Chris Drumgoole, President, Global Infrastructure Services at DXC, outlined the company's position on the shift in the sector.

"DXC is defining a new category in managed services. We have decades of trust, experience, and delivering reliable outcomes for the world's leading enterprises," said Chris Drumgoole, President, Global Infrastructure Services, DXC. "But the way the industry delivers services today hasn't kept pace with how enterprises actually operate. DXC is leading the shift to something better. With DXC OASIS, we're moving to real-time, orchestrated agentic operations across the entire IT environment. Purpose-built for modern, AI-driven estates, it gives customers clear, continuous control over performance helping them deliver increased business value."

Human and AI

DXC said OASIS is based on its Human+ approach, combining staff expertise with AI tools embedded into service delivery. In practice, AI agents will handle large volumes of routine tasks while human teams focus on oversight, judgement and higher-value decisions.

The system is positioned for mission-critical environments where outages or failures can have significant operational consequences. In those settings, the aim is to combine the speed of automated analysis with human review and accountability.

One of the main claims around OASIS is that it links operational data more closely to business outcomes. DXC said this should help IT leaders understand not only technical performance, but also the relationship between technology spending and broader organisational results.

Dan Gray, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Global Infrastructure Services at DXC, said the platform is intended to reduce the burden of routine operational monitoring.

"DXC OASIS is context that never sleeps. With it, IT leaders can focus on leading their operations rather than chasing alerts or designing, building, and generating reports," said Dan Gray, Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Global Infrastructure Services, DXC. "AI Agents continuously operate with speed and precision alongside humans who provide judgement and expertise. DXC OASIS unlocks the connection between IT spend and tangible business results by delivering a holistic, real-time view of KPIs. At a time when moving faster and accelerating time to value is critical, DXC OASIS makes that a reality."

Service model

The launch adds to a growing effort across the technology services market to apply AI to IT operations, particularly in complex estates spanning several providers and legacy systems. Suppliers are increasingly focusing on tools that promise broader visibility, earlier detection of issues and more automated responses to incidents.

For DXC, the announcement also reflects an attempt to redefine managed services around orchestration and oversight rather than support and maintenance alone. The model is based on the company's delivery experience and work with customers, with the goal of creating a more connected operating structure for large-scale enterprise IT.

DXC said OASIS is designed to give enterprises a trusted, enterprise-wide view of technology operations while working across the systems they already use.
